How Just is My Energy and Why Should I Care? Restoring God’s Creation by Advancing Just Energy

Fossil-fuel energy is the largest contributor to climate change and is disproportionately impacting already-marginalized communities. We are complicit: It is the energy we use to charge our phones, heat our homes, and travel to social justice events. We must take drastic measures to move our energy source from fossil fuels to clean and renewable energy. But how can we ensure that this transition upholds justice for frontline communities, workers, and communities of color? During this forum, we will examine our own energy consumption, define “just energy,” and learn about the challenges and opportunities for faith communities to advance just energy for all.
